Minor Requirements

Requirements for a Minor in Ethics

Students who minor in ethics will choose from an array of philosophy and other related disciplinary courses that apply critical thinking skills to issues of right and wrong.

Required philosophy course 3 hours

PHI 257 Moral Philosophy (3)

Elective philosophy courses 9 hours

Choose three courses:
PHI 290 Ethics and Health Care (3)
PHI 318 Social and Political Philosophy (3)
PHI 320 Topics in Ethics (3)
PHI 341 Business Ethics (3)
PHI 359 Philosophy of Punishment (3)

Required related course 3 hours

One course that focuses on ethics/values from another discipline or one additional philosophy course, to be approved by the Philosophy and Religion Department.

Total: 15 hours
